The Skywalker Saga

The nine-film Skywalker Saga is the central narrative of the Star Wars franchise, spanning three trilogies released between 1977 and 2019. The Original Trilogy (Episodes IV through VI) follows Luke Skywalker's journey from farm boy to Jedi Knight. The Prequel Trilogy (Episodes I through III) chronicles the fall of his father Anakin Skywalker to the dark side. The Sequel Trilogy (Episodes VII through IX) follows Rey as she confronts the legacy of the Skywalker bloodline. Created by George Lucas and produced by Lucasfilm, the saga is one of the highest-grossing film series in cinema history.
